Ethos - Our Values
Our Mission Statement is:
'To educate each and every unique child in our care, to hear and respond to what God calls them to be'
This means that we aspire to give every child the opportunity to explore their vocation in life and achieve their best both academically and personally, within a framework of spiritual and moral guidance. We therefore place great importance on delivering a high-quality and responsive personal development curriculum to our pupils.
It is the Government's policy that "schools should promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."
At Saint John Wall Catholic School we know the importance of preparing our pupils for life in modern Britain. We promote British Values through our ambitious curriculum and personal development offer, especially in Lifestyle lessons, form time and our Values@ days.
Our Saint John Wall Values (SJW Values) are at the heart of our school life. We follow our Saint John Wall values as they help each and every child to grow into the person God calls them to be. They are universal values that we all want to promote and demonstrate. Each term we focus on a pair of values within our Catholic Life theme for the year. This year we are focusing on 'Year of Live Simply' and how that links to our Three Steps to Success at Saint John Wall.
